Capital Grill, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi

Walking down in the Rajouri Garden market, I was looking for a place to have lunch and I came across this newly opened restaurant called Capital Grill. It is one of the few high end restaurants in the city with great ambiance, delicious food and excellent service. As you enter the restaurant you feel like you have come into a whole new world as the interiors are decorated and designed very well. the lighting is appropriate and there is music playing in the background with is not too loud and does not hamper any conversation between guests.

Grilled Chicken Steak

Capital Grill specializes in grilled items and steaks. The Manager suggested that I should try the Grilled Chicken Steak which is one of their specialties. So I decided to have that and I must say that I was not disappointed. It was the best steak I have ever had. The Chicken Steak was served along with a portion of Vegetables and Mashed Potatoes which are ideal accompaniments with any grilled item. the mashed potatoes were seasoned with herbs which added to the flavor and were of  smooth and creamy consistency. Now coming back to the steak, it was stuffed with cheese and as I cut through it cheese oozed out of the steak. The Steak was served along with brown sauce which enhaced the flavour of the chicken. For drinks I had the Cucumber and Basil Punch which was very refreshing. Presented in a beautiful manner, the punch was a great thirst quencher.

The service at Capital Grill is excellent and the staff is well versed with all the items in the menu. The staff is also friendly and cooperative and ensure that your visit is memorable. On the whole, my visit to Capital Grill was a great experience and I will suggest all the readers to visit this place if you ever visit Rajouri Garden.

Yorrick's CookHouse, Hill Road, Bandra West, Mumbai

Buffalo Bill Burger
Had been reading so many good reviews of this newly opened joint that I had bookmarked it on my zomato for the last couple of weeks. I was impressed by the immediate responses I was getting from them on my queries about ordering from them, via zomato. Finally the day dawned and I called them to find that they were shut on Wednesdays, but had a nice conversation with Sunil, who runs the place. You can place your orders via WhatsApp to them, and their delivery guy is sent to deliver your order with the help of google maps.

Roast Beefalo Burger
When I called the next day, owing to some technical delay, I was told the order would take an extra hour to get to me. I placed my order and then began a long wait. Just as our hunger was getting the better of us and our patience, the guy arrived, a good couple of hours later. While simmering in our own anger about the delayed delivery, we opened the boxes in which the burgers where packed in. The packing is fabulous, quite a technical way of doing it. You have to see it to know what I am talking about.

Pulled Pork Burger
The burgers were HUGE. And the best part...they hadn't budged a bit. The towering burgers were standing as they're supposed to. All thanks to the fantastic packing. Just as you wonder how to bite into these monsters, the aromas of roast patties and bacon will get the better of you and you will unleash your animal within. That is exactly what happened to us. We wolfed down these huge burgers and took little breathers in between to appreciate the flavours and the effort put into making these superb looking delights. The Buffalo Bill burger is just out of this world. The buffalo patties are tasty and there's egg and bacon as well. Huge! The Roast Beefalo burger was super yum as well. The pulled pork was a bit of a let down for me personally. I know that pulled pork burgers have some sweet BBQ sauce in them, so maybe that taste didn't work for me. I'll definitely try their pork-u-pine burger next time. My wife absolutely loved the fish burger and we all claimed these to be the best burgers we have ever had...and that's really saying a lot. Definitely ordering out from here again.

High Street Cafe, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi (Cheapest Alcohol in Town)

Although Rajouri Garden is very close to where I stay, I hardly visit this part of the city. But since the past few months, I had been hearing a lot of people talk about this new cafe that had come up in the busy Rajouri Garden market serving good food and the cheapest alcohol in town. So I decided to go there myself and check whether the buzz that was there about this place was actually right or not. Here's how my experience was....

Kit Kat Shake
High Street Cafe is a cafe based on British concept and has a great ambiance. As you enter you get the feel of an old-time British Pub with all the solid wood furniture and the brick walls.  This is a great place for students to hang out after college or school. There is music playing in the background which is not too loud as seen on most of the cafes. The cafe also organises Sufi Nights on Saturdays with live music and becomes a hub for music lovers over weekends.

Chicken Tikka Pizza
The menu has a wide variety and includes items like Dabeli and Bachka which are pure Indian and are hardly seen on any menu. For drinks I ordered the Kit Kat Shake, which had small bits of Kit Kat mixed with vanilla ice-cream and blended, garnished with a stick of Kit Kat and served in a jar. The shake was great and quite filling but still I managed to grab a bite of the Chicken Tikka Pizza which is one of their specializations and also an innovation. The pizza was amazing with a mix of Italian flavours along with the spicy taste of the Indian appetizer Chicken Tikka.

On the whole it was a great experience and I am pretty sure that I will visit this place again and will also suggest it to everyone I know. So if you ever find yourself in or around the Rajouri Garden market, take out some time and visit this amazing cafe.
