Chinese Food @ The China Wok, Inderpuri, New Delhi

Honey Chilly Potato
A couple of weeks back my friends took me to this small eating joint in the main market of Inderpuri, New Delhi. The place is called The China Wok. When I first saw this place i thought that it would be like any other Chinese street food joint found in Delhi but when I ate the Honey Chilly Potatoes and the Chicken Sorma Roll here, i became a fan of this place. My recommendations here would be the Honey Chilly Potatoes and the Chicken Sorma Roll. Apart from these things The China Wok also serves Paneer Kathi Roll, Chicken Kathi Roll, Spring Rolls, Chilly Paneer, Chilly Chicken etc. etc. etc.
Veg. Spring Roll

Delicious Goan Style Fish @ Highway Gomantak, Mumbai

Stuffed Pomfret
Surmai Fry
If you are one of those foodies who love to eat fish then you should check out Highway Gomantak, Bandra (E), Mumbai. This place serves the authentic Goan style fish. This joint never had to wait for customers neither did it have to advertise itself since day one. It’s unmistakably authentic, homely Goan taste did the trick. Their satisfied customers vouch for the authenticity by saying that hotels in Goa fail to offer this taste. Starting as a 30 seater, the sprawling premises today offers 120 seating with its signature sweet music, fast moving customers and equally fast service! During the daytime that is 11 am to 3 pm, it is mainly a place for office lunch timers and hoards of people coming to BKC and   adjoining places for business. When we went there we had Surmai Fry (left), Prawns Fry, Stuffed Pomfret (left) which had a typical Maharashtrian style stuffing, Fish Thali and Mutton Thali. The food was delicious and spicy. Apart from what we ate they also serve other kinds of fish. If you go to Mumbai and get chance to visit this place then don't miss it because the food here is to die for.

Manja's Rice and Fish meal...off Car Street, Mangalore...

Fish is my weakness. Especially when it tastes as fresh as the sea itself. If you are the types who don't really care about the ambience, and love to dig into the authentic side of local cuisine, this little blink and miss joint off Car street, locally called Manja's, is the place to be at. The guy doesn't even have a name plate or a board. From the looks of it, the place was a very old house, which has now been converted into a very humble eatery. Sharing long tables, plastic stools (probably even broken) and claustrophobic air...doesn't really sound like fun now does it? But wait. Wait till the sweaty waiters bring out a humongous plate filled with rice and some fish curry and veggies, and you'll know why you are there! The fried fish sells out first. Get there by noon, and you'll be lucky to find some Surmai/King fish or pomfrets. We tried the Pomfrets masala fry, with deep fried squid and prawns too. You'll be astonished with the bills you'll pay too. Back in big cities, you'd almost just get a bottle of mineral water in big restaurants for the price you pay for a full meal here! And the best part? The billing is totally based on faith and trust. You eat inside, you walk out to the billing counter and you tell the cashier what you ate! Guess that's some sweet conscience for dessert!

Chicken Ghee roast @ almost any good restaurant in Mangalore city...

Mangalore has always been good to foodies, and that is what i have always maintained in my mind. No matter what the kind of cuisine you are into, you'd never be disappointed. So here's the downlow on what's hot and happening on the Mangalore menu cards.
For those of you who have visited restaurants there, you definitely have had the Chicken Ghee roast. For those of you who haven't, something's really pending! You have to dig your teeth into these calorie bombs! Its tender chicken, slow roasted in a greasy ghee masala, with lots and lots of ground red chillies. its spicy, sweet (the ghee adds a flavour) and fantastic!
Do not miss the other variations, like the Prawns, squid, kaane fish and even raw jackfruit ghee roast! Pure ghee heaven!

Great Ice Cream @ Pabba's, Mangalore

Tiramissu Ice Cream
Since it's getting really hot out here I thought i'll write about this awesome ice cream parlour in Mangalore, Karnataka. The name of this place is Pabba's and it's located in Lalbagh, Mangalore. This place serves Mangalore's best ice cream. I  visit this place whenever I go to Mangalore. Here they serve a wide variety of ice creams like Chocolate Dad, Jackpot, Beehive, Dilkush, Parfeit etc. Apart from these they have their signature ice cream name "Gadbad" (hindi for trouble). This ice cream consists of scoops of vanilla and strawberry ice cream with some jelly and lots of nuts. This is a must try for all and apart from this what i recommend is the Tiramissu ice cream (see pic) which consists of choco brownie and vanilla and chocolate ice cream and some nuts. So if you visit Mangalore then don't miss out on this place.

Fast Food at N' Pauls

The other day i was out in the market buying some things and there i found this small bakery named N' Pauls. I went there saw a wide variety of things from rolls to patties and from pizzas to burgers. What I ate was a plate of Pasta and a Pizza Sandwich. The Pasta that i ate here was totally different as it had a hint of Chinese taste in it. This was impressive because till now the pastas I've eaten all have the same taste. Then there was the Pizza Sandwich which consisted of two pizza bases containing the normal pizza topping sandwiched between them and the top base had a layer of melted cheese on it. It was really delicious. Apart from these two items i would recommend you all to try the Paneer Kathi Roll and the Veg. Patties. Hope you guys will enjoy eating these items.

Sikkimese Food Stall @ Dilli Haat

Well Agent Pepper and I were really lucky to have got a chance to attend the Comic Con India 2012 at Dilli Haat, New Delhi. Well I must say the convention was great and the food at the Sikkimese Food Stall was really great. At the Sikkimese stall I had a plate of Chicken Momos and Agent Pepper tried the Chilly Garlic Pork Noodles. Both the things were really tasty and what made them more tasty was the Fruit Beer which we had with them. Fruit Beer can be consume by people of any age since it is non-alcoholic. The Chicken Momos that I had were great  and the Chilly Garlic Pork Noodles as Agent Pepper said were really spicy. Everyone must try these 2 recommendations and of course the Fruit Beer is a must for all.
