Christmas and Food

Christmas is the festivals which marks the birthday of  Jesus Christ. This festival is celebrated all over the world. Since ours is a food blog, we'll focus on the different dishes made by the Christian families on this occasion.

A special Christmas family meal is traditionally an important part of the holiday's celebration, and the food that is served varies greatly from country to country. Some regions, such as Sicily, have special meals for Christmas Eve, when 12 kinds of fish are served. In England and countries influenced by its traditions, a standard Christmas meal includes turkey or goose, meat, gravy, potatoes, vegetables, sometimes bread and cider. Special desserts are also prepared, such as Christmas puddingmince pies and fruit cake.

All these things are now making my mouth water  so now i'll end this article and let you enjoy your Christmas.
Merry Christmas once again.

A SLICE OF ITALY.....

THE GODFATHER'S CHOICE
If you love to eat Italian Cuisine then Slice Of Italy is the waiting for you. It has many outlets in Delhi and NCR. It's menu ranges from cheesy pizzas to tangy pastas and from subs to calzones and from fresh salads to risottos. They also have a wide variety of cakes and desserts. My recommendations here would be the GODFATHER'S CHOICE pizza which has smoked BBQ chicken with tangy BBQ Sauce and mouthing melting mozzarella cheese and the CHEROKEE calzone which has lamb meatballs, herbed onion rings, lamb mince and smoked cheddar and danish mozzarella.

Am sure that after reading this you won't be able to resist the temptation to eat. So don't wait just go and eat it.

Awesome Chicken @ Z Corner

If you are ready for some really awesome chicken, then you might find heave at Z Corner in East Patel Nagar, New Delhi.

The chicken here is totally cooked in "desi ghee" with all the Indian spices. The gravy of dish consists of 50% ghee and 50% chicken mince(keema). With each plate of chicken you get 5 tandoori rotis. This is the dish and biryani are the only two things you'll get at this place.

This is a must eat for all those who read this and my recommendation at this place would be the chicken or mutton and a plate of chicken or mutton biryani.

Nirula's Express.......

If you want to try both International and Indian cuisine, then Nirula's Express is the right place for you.My recommendations at this restaurant would be the BIG BOY MUTTON BURGER (Left) and the chicken or the vegetarian Mahaburger which served with chips or french fries and it tastes best with Pepsi or Coca Cola.

And if you want to try some Indian meals then I would recommend the DELUXE VEG THALI (left) which comes with Dal Makhani, Paneer Makhani, Veg The Day, Mixed veg., Raita, Jeera Rice, Pudina Paratha, Moti Choor Laddu, Papad and mixed pickle.

Joshinchi Khanavali, Lonavala, Maharashtra....Spice paradise!

When you visit Lonavala and Khandala, you would first think of the famous Chikki and fudges that you get there. But hold on! There's more. In a quaint little corner, off the main market road, is an old premises of the Joshi family, who cook, serve and run the little hotel (known as khanavali in marathi, for eateries run from the backyard of a house). The fish is to die for. We tried the fried pomfret, the surmai, mutton masala and hot and soft chapatis, along with a host of pickles and yummy rassa (plain gravy to add as a dip to the chapatis). The best fish I have had, that too ironically on a hill station!

Cafe Leopold, Colaba, Mumbai

Since 1871, Cafe Leopold has been the tourist attraction no one skips off their travel list when they visit Mumbai. A congested little cafe, Leopold is the destination for the beer loving, meat eating and photo-op hunting tourister. We had a go too!
Our order: BBQ chicken, Tortilla with cheese dip, Steak Burger and Fried fish and chips. Not one item disappointed. The bite of the day? Definitely the burger. Huge, juicy and a huge side of fries! do not miss!

FISH ROLLS at DILLI HAAT

The delicious Fish Rolls at the West Bengal stall at Dilli Haat, New Delhi are just awesome. The outer coating is made of some kind of a crispy batter and the stuffing is made of fish meat mixed with various Indian Spices.
It is a must have for all the foodies. Am sure that you'll love it and will want to have more and more.
